Dubai based X-Architects recently unveiled the Urban Oasis, their latest sustainable master plan for Al Ain.  The 12-hectare urban development was conceived as a “micro-specific, compact, and passive sustainable urban oasis.”  Inspired by the existing natural environment and the traditional dense urban fabric of Islamic cities, the master plan develops an “environmental synergy between landscape and urbanity.”

Los arquitectos holandeses UNStudio han planificado este complejo cultural y comercial en Dubai, en donde incluyen el Museo de Arte Moderno del Medio Oriente (MOMEMA). El proyecto de 25,000 m² alojará un sin número de pequeños museos para exhibir arte internacional y local, así como también un anfiteatro de presentaciones, un hotel de 60 habitaciones, y un centro comercial. El complejo formará parte del la Villa de la Cultura de Dubai, con una construcción esperada en ser completada para el año 2011.
